The idea is to create a short documentary, exploring the music scene here in Cardiff. The documentary might find itself going over the bridge into Bristol, but that is something that will happen over time. The aim of the film is to look at the live music scene in Cardiff, looking at how bands find the environment and what can be done to help them. The film will focus on the decline in venues throughout the city over the last few years. It will, look investigate people who are in or connected to the scene. The two bands that will be featuring in the film are (The rotanas) and (Clvb Fuzz), who are both Cardiff based bands.
The documentary then will take a more direct stance on the effect the music scene has here in Cardiff, looking at the dangers and the positives of the times we are witnessing. The film will talk to Daniel Minty, who is a campaigner for live music in Cardiff, exploring his daily duties. There will also be an interview with him and Bethan Sayed who is a National Assembly member and is currently running an inquiry into live music in Wales.
